About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Transaction Banking Hub in Germany. As the Head of Transaction Banking Hub, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional transaction banking services to our corporate clients in the region.

Your primary objective will be to drive business growth, improve client satisfaction, and ensure the hub's financial performance meets or exceeds budgeted targets. You will be the local expert for Transaction Banking products, working closely with our Coverage Bankers to promote these services to our corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Transaction Banking Hub team in Germany, providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Develop and execute a business plan that aligns with the global Transaction Banking strategy, focusing on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our corporate clients, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor our services accordingly.
  • Collaborate with our Global Relationship Managers to negotiate and agree on terms and conditions with clients.
  • Ensure the hub's risk profile is aligned with ABN AMRO's moderate risk appetite, while optimizing client profitability and return on deals.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to inform our service offerings and business strategy.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in commercial banking, preferably with a focus on transaction banking. Your expertise should include knowledge of commercial economics, business management, and relevant banking products and services.

You will have a proven track record of leadership, with experience in managing teams and driving business growth. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial banking, preferably in a transaction banking role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial economics, business management, and relevant banking products and services.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of driving business growth and improving client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
