Research Scientist in Audio Signal Processing

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and developing algorithms and AI models for music generation and detection.
Responsibilities:
- Research and development of algorithms and AI models for music generation and detection
- Evaluation and further development of pre-existing AI models for music generation
- Development and presentation of demonstrators and prototypes
- Support in preparation of grant proposals
- Publication of research results and presentation at conferences
- Supervision of student internships and final theses
Requirements:
- Completed scientific studies (Masters, Diploma) in computer science or a comparable course of study
- At least 2 years of working experience post-graduation in a related field
- Experience with audio signal processing, deep learning, and AI-based generation
- Experience working with large amounts of data
- Preferable, but not required: PhD in related field, experience with deep learning for audio or time series data, experience with audio or music generation, experience with listening tests
