OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented Master's student to join our team as a research assistant for a Master's thesis project. This is a unique opportunity to delve into deep learning and machine learning architecture development, with direct applications in image processing and computer vision, specifically within the field of cancer pathology.
Project OverviewThe project involves conducting research on novel neural network architectures and their implementation in practice. You will have the opportunity to develop and test deep learning models for image processing in the field of pathology, analyze and interpret data to evaluate the performance of developed models, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate new algorithms into existing systems, and document research findings and contribute to the preparation of publications.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program and looking for an innovative industry Master's Thesis.
- Strong interest in deep learning (DL) architecture development and image processing/computer vision in the field of medicine.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency with Python and Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- First touch points with Unix bases systems, cloud computing resources and/or high-performance computer systems.
- Initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge field with direct applications in pathology.
