About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronician/Electronics Technician/Industrial Mechanic (m/w/d) to join our team at Hamburg Airport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our baggage handling systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operations team in conducting comprehensive monitoring, maintenance, inspection, and repair activities for our baggage handling systems.
  • Identify and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues affecting our systems, including performing root cause analysis and eliminating potential fault sources.
  • Collaborate with project teams on new and upgrade projects.
  • Perform optimization work and document results.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a Mechatronician/Electronics Technician/Industrial Mechanic (m/w/d) or equivalent.
  • For Mechatronicians/Electronics Technicians: Strong knowledge of SPS technology (Siemens S7), bus systems, automation technology, and mechanical knowledge is an asset.
  • For Industrial Mechanics: Willingness to acquire additional qualifications as an electrician for specific tasks.
  • Familiarity with baggage handling technology is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (MS Office).
  • High reliability and strong team player skills.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
  • Methodical and analytical thinking and working style.
  • Availability for shift work and participation in a 3-shift operation.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
  • Valid driver's license (class B or 3).
