About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Affairs professional to join our team as a Global Lead, Medical Affairs, Gastroenterology. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert medical and clinical insights to inform the effective development of our Gastroenterology medical strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical and clinical insights to inform the effective development of the Gastroenterology medical strategy through internal and external engagements.
- Support the Global Head of Clinical Affairs in the conception, development, and implementation of impactful clinical investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide medical practice insights and support the development of clinical evaluation plans and reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical and scientific developments in the Gastroenterology therapeutic area and provide insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree with demonstrated independent clinical practice experience.
- Gastroenterology Fellowship Trained.
- Board Certification.
- Additional advanced degrees: PhD, MS, MBA, or MPH desired.
- Active participation in a Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
- Active medical license.
- 10-12+ years of biotechnology/pharmaceutical/medical device industry experience in medical affairs, medical technology, medical strategy.
