About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineering Team Lead to join our team at YOC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the creation and growth of our data engineering team, including data engineers and analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of data engineering solutions, covering the complete data lifecycle, including ETL pipelines, AI, and ML technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to define and prioritize initiatives, breaking them down into tasks for the engineering team.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support professional development in data engineering.
  • Plan and conduct internal workshops on topics like data strategy, culture, and architecture.
Requirements
  • Degree in business informatics, business engineering, economics with a computer science focus, or equivalent education.
  • Proven leadership skills and a proactive work approach, being able to motivate people and drive achievements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels and departments of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Several years of experience in strategy, architecture, and development of cloud-based data platforms, particularly with GCP, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Proven knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, such as Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, and proficiency in Python.
  • Experience in developing test concepts for data platforms.
  • DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, Google DataProc, DataFlow, Apache Beam, RedPanda, and/or similar tools, as well as additional languages like Go or Java, are a plus.
  • Fluent English skills.
