Global Sourcing Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate and manage projects to standardize, digitalize, and optimize procurement processes and methods globally.
• Support the VP Procurement Excellence as a functional sparring partner in the development of the procurement function at SSI SCHÄFER.
• Contribute to the creation of a long-term procurement excellence strategy.
• Establish and develop a comprehensive supplier management system.
• Pursue sustainability goals and responsible procurement standards.
• Analyze technology and industry trends for digitalization and excellence in procurement and derive potential measures for SSI SCHÄFER.
• Procurement performance management, setting KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement activities.
• Develop and enhance existing procurement controls.
• Regularly prepare and present various project and measure reports.
• Develop and implement change management activities to ensure the successful implementation of new methods, processes, and tools.
• Represent the VP Procurement Excellence in the mentioned topics.

Requirements:

• Completed degree in business administration or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in procurement at a manufacturing company.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, methods, and tools.
• Ideal experience in procurement controlling and performance management.
• Excellent project management and presentation skills.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working, even in complex situations.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
• High level of initiative and hands-on mentality.
• Knowledge of specific software and tools, such as SAP, eProcurement tools, Spend Analytics, MS Office, Power BI, is an advantage.
• Very good German and English language skills.
