Supervisory Physician Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Physician to lead our Occupational Medicine team at the Defense Health Agency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing medical expertise and guidance to support the health and well-being of our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to employees, including occupational medicine and preventive medicine
• Supervise and manage a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements

• Board certification in Primary Care Specialty (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine)
• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a recognized medical school
• Permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, or territory of the United States
• Ability to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

This position requires occasional travel to outlying clinics and other installations within the area of responsibility. The incumbent must be able to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
