Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern (m|f|d) Flow Simulation Specialist to join our team at the Voith Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, executing, and evaluating numerical flow simulations (CFD) in the field of hydraulic turbines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute numerical flow simulations (CFD) to analyze turbine characteristics and compare results with measurement data.
  • Support the selection of meshing strategies, numerical modeling, and post-processing automation.
  • Collaborate with experts from simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design, and strength calculation to drive innovation and improve turbine performance.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and solutions to support the energy transition.

Your Profile

  • You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • You have basic knowledge of computational fluid dynamics and experience with software such as Ansys CFX.
  • You possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • You are fluent in English and have a good command of written and spoken language.
