Hotel Assessor Job Description

About the Role

Ecolab is seeking a skilled Hotel Assessor to join our team on an independent consulting basis. As a Hotel Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site evaluations and providing customized training to help our clients maintain the highest standards in cleanliness, guest experience, and brand protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce accurate and consistent evaluations, including written reports in English and/or local language, to meet the unique expectations of each client.
  • Exercise high levels of judgment and discretion in evaluating clients' business operations and service, determining areas of improvement, and recommending strategies for enhancement.
  • Utilize hospitality industry knowledge to develop and deliver meaningful summary presentations of evaluation findings to key property/location executives.
  • Interact with property/location management to review assessment data and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Contribute to building strong client relationships through professional interactions and demonstration of industry and functional knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, tourism, retail, or customer service leadership role within the hotel or retail sector.
  • Proven management success within hotels/restaurants or retail, with ability to analyze and synthesize data.
  • Proficiency with current Microsoft Office programs and technology, including iPad/tablet/notebook functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong analytic and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to operate independently and without direct supervision, while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, using industry knowledge and comprehending clients' business models and needs.
  • Valid passport and driver's license required for travel.
  • Willingness to travel constantly, with assignments varying from one field assessment to 15 field assessments per month.
