We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our team at REPA Deutschland GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and operating systems, as well as manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Virtualization and Cloud: Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V and maintain virtual server environments, as well as implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Network and Security: Configure and manage network technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, as well as ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system resource utilization, capacity planning, and implement scaling measures, as well as perform routine infrastructure maintenance activities, including patch management, firmware upgrades, and system backups.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve operations-related issues and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
- Experience: Several years of experience as a IT Systems Engineer (m/f/d) or in a similar role in the development and management of complex IT infrastructures.
- Skills: Solid knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (Windows and Linux) and virtualization technologies, as well as experience configuring and managing network technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Language: Fluent English and German skills.
