Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Shipper/Receiver to join our team at AAM. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the shipping and receiving of goods, including creating and troubleshooting shippers and receipts.
  • Interact with plant floor shipping and receiving associates to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Communicate with trading partners to ensure integrity in our systems and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Audit shipping and receiving transactions to validate daily performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide root cause analysis for incorrect data and implement corrective actions to prevent future errors.
  • Support packaging management and freight forwarding operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Requirements:

  • Specialist in Warehouse Logistics or a comparable qualification.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Professional experience in a similar role is desired.
  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing companies with quality management systems, quality standards, and norms (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex quality problems and find effective solutions.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerBI,...) and ERP systems (Oracle as an advantage).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
