Job Description


As a Highly Skilled Automation Engineer at Flink, you will play a pivotal role in driving software quality and observability initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Enabling engineers to consistently deliver value to our customers by providing tools and processes for automated testing, software quality, and observability.
  • BUILDING TOOLS TO DRIVE THE USE OF CI/CD AND THE ADOPTION OF PLATFORM COMPONENTS BY OUR ENGINEERING TEAMS
  • Developing and advocating for automated testing practices, from unit tests to end-to-end production tests.
  • Implementing and overseeing quality assurance tools like SonarCloud to ensure high code quality.
  • Creating and maintaining adaptable testing tools and frameworks that simplify the integration of automated testing into the development process.
  • Contribution to our observability and incident process using tools like Datadog.
  • Collaborating with product engineers to improve software delivery processes.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices to uplift the engineering teams.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To excel in this role, you should possess:



  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages like Golang, Kotlin, Python, Typescript, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform provider such as GCP, AWS, Azure etc.
  • Experience with automated testing on integration and e2e levels.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
  • An open-minded personality, comfortable working in an Agile environment, and making decisions in a collaborative way.
  • Motivated, proactive, and a passion for helping others and improving processes.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
