Quality Manager for Marine Service
About the Role
As a Quality Manager for Marine Service at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our marine projects. Your primary responsibility will be to support our project teams in quality assurance and quality control activities.
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will work closely with our project managers to plan, monitor, and report on quality assurance and quality control activities. This will involve creating and monitoring quality plans, supporting the execution of inspection and test plans, and ensuring that all project experts include quality assurance activities in their work.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Creation and monitoring of the quality plan according to ISO 10005 / 10006, including support for inspection and test plans.
- Support for the project team on quality aspects of factory acceptance tests on a case-by-case basis.
- Analysis of quality requirements in the request for proposal / contract and related laws / norms and standards.
- Calculation of effort for quality assurance activities in the project.
- Supervision and review of product safety tasks, including EU- / TR- Declaration of Conformity.
- Plan, initiate, and coordinate continuous improvement activities for all phases of the project.
- Support of achievement checks upon request of the project manager, as well as support of the Quality Gate methodology, Lessons Learned methodology, and support for the Information Loop.
- Support of non-conformance control management through root cause analysis, definition of countermeasures, and supporting the information loop.
- Plan and implement project audits when requested by the project team or customer.
What You Bring
- A degree in engineering studies (university or FH) or several years of professional experience in engineering with training in the field of Quality Management.
- Professional experience in project management of large-scale industrial plants, offshore or marine projects.
- Professional experience in quality management as well as in project management with a strong quality focus.
- Practical experience in a project-driven, technically sophisticated environment (in the infrastructure sector such as energy or transport or transportation, mechanical or plant engineering).
- Willingness to participate in military projects.
- Business fluent in English and German.
