Senior Key Account Manager, Last Mile Delivery

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Key Account Manager to join our team at Amazon Deutschland S12 Transport GmbH. As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our last-mile delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Collaborate with Safety and Regional Managers to ensure business safety compliance.
  • Performance: Guide owners as they scale their business and manage operational issues, ensuring they have resources in place to effectively ramp up operations and prepare for peak periods.
  • Performance: Support owners as they onboard to the program and prepare to launch (this will be on the basis of a net new launch only).
  • Performance: Coach business owners to run compliant, safe, and high-performing companies (SLS metric deep dive).
  • Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and work to formulate and implement operational improvements at the network level and to improve the individual DSP owner experience.
  • Relationship Development: Develop the relationship between Amazon and our DSP partners (DSP sentiment improvements).
  • Communication: Align communication to DSP business owners following close collaboration with OTR partners.
  • Representation: Be the voice of the DSP within and represent them within the AMZL business.
  • Upskilling: Coach and ensure effective upskilling and utilization of tools.
  • Customer Metric Improvement: Deep dive to identify customer metric improvement opportunities.
  • Last Mile Processes: Champion the consistent application of Last Mile processes within Delivery Stations – challenge UTR processes that impact OTR.
  • Driver Standards: Improve driver standards to protect brand image.
About the Team

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.

Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

Basic Qualifications
  • A degree.
  • Relevant experience in Operations, Last Mile, or account or relationship management, small business logistics, or retail/vendor/supplier management.
  • Relevant experience working with third-party resources on a regional/national scale.
  • Relevant experience working with a contingent workforce in a business with peak seasons.
  • Relevant experience in using data analytics to solve problems such as customer, partner, or business performance issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through: Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma.
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
