Evolve the SAP Business Technology Platform

As a Cloud Service Developer, you will be part of a diverse team working in an innovative cloud environment. Your role will involve driving end-to-end development of infrastructure services, enabling asynchronous communication patterns. These services are fundamental components of SAP and customer applications, as part of the event enablement strategy at SAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements discussions and backlog refinements
  • Design and implementation of cloud services
  • Deploying, supporting, and maintaining cloud services
  • Researching and prototyping alternative approaches and new technologies
Requirements

You should have a strong foundation in computer science or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in cloud-native development and cloud computing. Proficiency in Go or Python is required, as well as knowledge of CI/CD and related tools and concepts. You should be willing to drive complex technical tasks and smaller projects, and have a general interest in distributed systems.

Familiarity with eventing/messaging-based solutions is a plus, as is flexibility and openness to deal with new technologies like AI. Fluent English language skills are essential, with German language skills beneficial.

The team consists of diverse professionals from various countries with mixed experience levels, responsible for several cloud services with high adoption by internal and SAP customers. We emphasize teamwork and a trust-based working model, with collaboration with other teams in an international environment a regular part of your work.
