This is a critical role within the US Army Europe and Africa organization, requiring a highly skilled and dedicated individual to serve as a dispatcher at the USAG Fire Alarm Communications and Control Center (FACC). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the electronically controlled emergency desk, responding to emergency calls, and executing management, incident control, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the emergency desk and respond to emergency calls, including fire, medical, and other incidents.
  • Manage and control incidents, ensuring timely and effective response.
  • Perform administrative duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and response.
Requirements:
  • E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss)
  • German certification as basic fire fighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2))
  • Completed training in accordance with the guidelines of the US Forces Fire Protection Program
  • HN radio communicator training (Ausbildung zum Sprechfunker gem. FwDV2), dispatcher (FEZ Grundlehrgang) and DoD Hazmat Awareness, Telecommunicator I and II within 1 year of final job offer
Working Conditions:
  • Rotating shift work, weekends, and holiday work required
  • On-call duty required
  • Heavy lifting up to 45 lbs. required
