Job Description
As a Structural Engineer in Aerospace Design, you will be responsible for the structural aspects of rotor design, including structural design, stress analysis, and testing. You will work closely with the Mechanical Engineering department to ensure that all structural topics are addressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement structural design and testing strategies for rotor systems
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure that all structural aspects are considered in the design process
- Participate in the development of test plans and test analysis for rotor systems
- Conduct stress and structural analysis, including fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
- Ensure that all activities are completed within cost, time, and schedule targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5 years of professional experience in the field of rotors or propellers structures
- Experience with method-validation process based on test data
- Experience in the development, manufacturing, and testing of composite aircraft or rotors
- Detailed knowledge of current domain-specific certification requirements
