Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation platforms and modules to support database operational teams, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Analyze incidents to identify root causes and update platforms and automation to eliminate recurring problems.
  • Develop platform automation tooling to reduce manual tasks and 'toil', improving overall efficiency.
  • Provide expert support to application development teams in product and performance selection, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Offer Level 3 product database support for Exadata and Oracle Databases, resolving complex issues.
  • Design and maintain database models, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a large-scale environment, with strong expertise in Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c/19C RAC, including build, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Oracle ASM, Dataguard administration, and Oracle performance tuning, with hands-on experience in backup, recovery (including flashback technologies), and migration using RMAN, datapump, and export/import processes.
  • Advanced skills in Oracle PL/SQL development, Bash/KSH shell scripting, and Python (2.7 / 3.x), along with experience in Ansible Playbook development and automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with Oracle APEX, Java 7/8 development, and tools like Git/Stash, JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of database scripting, server concepts, network and firewall architectures, and enterprise storage systems.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework, with additional experience in Google Cloud Platform and Terraform.
  • Proven track record of supporting application development teams and contributing to the automation of database operations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus.
