Academic Position in English Language and Literature Didactics

The Faculty of Humanities and Cultural Studies at the Universität Passau invites applications for a tenured civil-service post of Professorship of Didactics of English Language, Literature and Culture (pay grade W2).
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the subject of English didactics in research and teaching
- Teach and carry out examinations in English subject didactics in current and future Teacher Education Programmes, bachelor's and master's degree programmes
- Participate in academic self-governance and the supervision of students during practice teaching at schools
- Conduct research in areas such as foreign-language acquisition, language and literature didactics, and intercultural and transcultural learning
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- German formal postdoctoral habilitation qualification or an equivalent body of academic achievements
- Excellent research track record, including international projects
- University teaching competency and willingness to become involved in the Teacher Education Centre (ZLF)
- Experience in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funded projects
