Senior Program Manager, Extended Producer Responsibility

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to join our Extended Producer Responsibility team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing large-scale global programs that ensure compliance with Amazon's businesses and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Develop and implement complex multi-disciplinary projects across multiple stakeholder groups, including business owners, technical teams, and legal teams.
- Compliance Expertise: Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/businesses by understanding product attributes to drive compliance solutions.
- Project Management: Lead complex initiatives aimed at growing Amazon's Global Market Services (GMS) and/or reducing the operational cost of compliance.
- Stakeholder Management: Present strategic roadmaps and project reviews to senior leaders across Amazon, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with our legal, business, and technical teams to ensure compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.
A typical day may involve presenting a project update to senior business leaders, driving a review of a separate project with senior managers from different teams to ensure progress toward the next project milestone, and organizing an internal team meeting to brainstorm ways to accomplish business initiatives while ensuring compliance objectives.
About the TeamThe Extended Producer Responsibility team at Amazon assesses environmental compliance requirements worldwide and ensures adherence with post-consumer waste regulations. We drive innovative solutions across Amazon that are simple, efficient, and scalable. We protect the environment through the adequate collection and recycling of waste for our customers.
Requirements- Experience: Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management, with a strong background in developing and implementing standards, policies, and programs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification, and experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles/Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
