Trade Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact for import, export, and trade-related issues.
  • Coordinate with third parties, including authorities, customers, and business partners, on Trade Compliance matters.
  • Oversee the application and control of export licenses for the EU and third-country markets, including AEO approvals and BAFA approvals.
  • Support and supervise sub-regional Trade Compliance Managers.
  • Develop and maintain internal Trade Compliance rules and policies.
  • Provide training to affected employees of the GROHE Holding Subgroup.
  • Monitor export activities, including exports from local warehouses, and other business partner constellations to identify potential Trade Compliance issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in local Export and Trade Control regulations.
  • Define mitigating measures to address country or region-specific risks.
  • Ensure compliance with due diligence processes for selected business partners to avoid Trade Control and Anti-Money Laundering violations.
  • Organize and support internal Trade Compliance audits.
  • Regularly communicate and provide information on Trade Compliance.
  • Ensure the availability of instructions in local languages.

Requirements:

  • Completed studies or a commercial apprenticeship, preferably with a specialization in customs and/or foreign trade.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications or equivalents.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • A structured and organized way of working.
