Senior Indirect Tax Accounting Specialist

We are a dynamic team within the Shared Services Center in Bern, Switzerland, responsible for accounting for 56 European entities. Our team thrives on achieving high-quality and compliance in our daily activities. We are seeking a skilled Indirect Tax Compliance (ITC) Accounting Supervisor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the ITC team in tax compliance and accounting, coordinating with regional and functional teams for global process consistency and standardization.
- Prepare and review working papers for global filings, including VAT filings for EMEA entities and regions, Sales and Use tax filings for U.S. operations, and other indirect tax obligations.
- Assist the ITC team with the monthly close process and externally facing statutory reporting activities.
- Maintain premier reconciliations of G/L accounts and ensure financial statement integrity at a transaction level.
- Supervise compliance-related activities by third-party support teams.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in managing projects, operational improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA/ACCA/CIMA is a plus.
- Strong technical accounting background.
- At least five years of general ledger accounting and indirect tax compliance experience.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills, as well as SAP Financial System or other ERP experience.
- Great teamwork and ability to work independently, handling challenges and tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English and German (B2+) required.
