Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Develops comprehensive software validation documentation to facilitate the initial launch and ongoing support of products.
- Engages in New Product Development phase evaluations to deliver updates and summaries of activities for which they are accountable.
- May assist project teams in the creation of input and risk assessment documents to guarantee independent user-centered contributions to the process.
- Coordinates and aids software testing engineering to establish an appropriate environment for software validation and enable project team members to perform software verification.
- Collaborates with design, marketing, and quality assurance teams to ensure the software validation function is thoroughly integrated within project teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in software development, software testing, or systems engineering, preferably within the medical device sector.
- Strong knowledge and application of relevant standards for medical device software development.
- Proficiency in software testing, risk assessment tools, methodologies, and processes.
- Moderate project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with fluency in English and an intermediate level of German.
- Strong collaborative skills for effective teamwork in cross-functional project groups.
- Preferred certifications: ISTQB Test Manager, IREB Requirements Engineer, Certified Professional for Medical Software (CPMS).
