About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Lead to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. You will also support financial due diligence and M&A integration processes, ensuring seamless financial management across our German entities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Group Finance organization and other stakeholders, driving business development initiatives to improve financial processes, tools, and controls. You will be the primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external contacts in Germany, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

As a leader, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and prioritizing tasks for our German Finance Team, while also being a standing member of our German Management Top Team. Your expertise and guidance will be invaluable in shaping our financial strategy and driving business growth.

What We Are Looking For
  • A suitable master's degree in business and economics with a focus on finance or accounting (optional)
  • At least 2+ years of work experience in a similar position in a large or mid-sized firm / experience in Big4 audit and consulting roles
  • Broad financial knowledge (German GAAP, reporting, planning, auditing, controlling, development of financial processes)
  • Wide understanding of processes related to financial administration and experience of taking on new financial processes and tools into use
  • Self-initiative and good planning skills
  • Accuracy in your work, while also understanding the importance of materiality
  • High motivation and willingness to deliver
  • Good IT and Excel skills
  • Excellent German and English skills both in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to stand firm when needed and being comfortable with working in a matrix organization
  • Willingness to travel within Germany, preferably from Frankfurt/Rhein-Main area
  • Experience in leading teams and a strong sense of empathy

We also appreciate experience in ERP implementation projects, IFRS knowledge, and/or experience with BI tools.
