Culinary Team Lead Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at Doulos Hope. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the Catering Team Members, ensuring they are trained and able to work safely, hygienically, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the Catering Team Members of the Catering Department.
  • Ensure that regular, nutritious meals are cooked and provided every day.
  • Supervise all assisting staff with the preparation and storage of the food.
  • Ensure that an overview of all the food provisions are maintained.
  • Manage the quantity and variety of stock until the next shipment of food arrives.
  • Ensure that the galley and bakery remain clean and equipment is functioning well.
  • Ensure that the food is prepared in an efficient, clean, and hygienic environment.
  • Provide catering for Onboard Events and the International Café.

Requirements:

  • Work experience and/or educational background in the area of Cooking or Catering.
  • Knowledge about professional standards of cleanliness and cooking.
  • Planning and organizing.
  • Communication skills.
