The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is a leading research institution in the field of renewable energy technologies. Our Institute for Networked Energy Systems in Oldenburg is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Researcher in Renewable Energy Technologies.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of concepts and technologies that ensure a stable power system with high penetration of weather-dependent and decentralized power generation from renewable energies. You will work closely with our team of experts to analyze the converter operation under various test scenarios, evaluate the simulation results, and compare them with measurement data from real ground-mounted PV systems.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, physics or a similar program, and experience with modelling electrical networks and components (e.g. with MATLAB/Simulink, PowerFactory, etc.).

  • You are currently pursuing a Master's degree course in electrical engineering, power engineering, physics or a similar program.
  • You have knowledge of modelling electrical networks and components (e.g. with MATLAB/Simulink, PowerFactory, etc.).
  • You enjoy teamwork and the collaborative development of models for simulation environments.
  • Ability to work independently, a passion for innovation, and a desire to learn and enhance your profile.
  • Ideally, you have experience with the operation of photovoltaic power converter systems and the construction of ground-mounted PV systems.
