About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Information Security Officer to join our team at Connecting Experts. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping our organization's information security strategy and ensuring the protection of our digital assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Information Security Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive information security strategy to protect our organization's information systems and digital assets.
  • Manage Risk: Identify, assess, and mitigate information security risks across the organization. Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits.
  • Respond to Incidents: Lead the incident response team to quickly and effectively respond to security breaches and incidents. Develop and maintain incident response plans and protocols.
  • Develop and Deliver Information Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver information security awareness training programs for global employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
  • Mentor and Guide Cross-Functional Teams: Mentor a matrix team of cross-functional IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Oversee Third-Party Information Security Services: Oversee and coordinate with third-party information security operations centers (CSOC) and virtual chief information security officers (VCISO) to ensure alignment with the organization's information security strategy and goals.
  • Ensure Compliance with Information Security Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant information security regulations and standards, such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, GDPR, CCPA, PIPL, and PCI-DSS. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Manage Vendors and Service Providers: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring that their security practices meet company standards.
  • Evaluate and Implement Security Technologies: Evaluate, implement, and manage security technologies and tools to protect the organization's digital assets.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as legal, finance, and compliance, to ensure a holistic approach to information security.
  • Provide Regular Reports: Provide regular reports to the leadership team and board on the status, KPIs, and risks of the organization's information security posture and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Technical Skills: A deep understanding of information security frameworks, technologies, and best practices. Proficiency in risk management, incident response, and security operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a security culture in cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant global information security regulations and standards.
  • Third-Party Management Experience: Experience in managing third-party information security services, including CSOC and VCISO.
