Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. As a Research Assistant in Nanomaterials, you will be responsible for working independently on a sub-research project in the field of developing new nanoparticle-modified powder materials for additive manufacturing.

Your tasks will include the production of metallic and ceramic nanoparticles by means of laser ablation in liquids, processing into composites for 3D printing and comprehensive analytics. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of laboratory equipment, taking on organizational tasks, and regularly attending meetings and exchanging information with partners.

Requirements:

  • University degree in materials science, chemistry or similar
  • Knowledge in the field of nanomaterials and materials science
  • Enthusiasm for working in research and skillful handling of complex systems and equipment
  • Great care, independence and reliability
  • Self-organization skills, ability to work in a team and good communication skills
  • Very good English language skills (oral and written)
