About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Finance Transformation Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class automated accounting solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the point of contact between Accounting, Tax, and Fintech teams to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Develop country-specific Business Requirement documents based on tax authority guidelines, including scope, details, and answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Map accounting data sets from Amazon systems to relevant local legislation's schema for compliance reports.
  • Test automated output reports to underlying records using technologies such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Work closely with functional and system teams to understand impacts of changes and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to ensure highest integrity of financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Deliver compliance reporting for various jurisdictions and identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • Significant experience in accounting with BI or data analyst background, preferably in a Big Four firm or multinational organization.
  • Adept in accounting and tax principles.
  • Several years of experience delivering cross-functional projects for large and global entities in a matrix structure.
  • Skilled in data visualization techniques and reconciliation of big data using technologies such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, VBA, Tableau, MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PMP, IMPA) or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced ERP user, using technology solutions to optimize business processes.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
