About the Role
The Senior Tax Specialist - Mergers & Acquisitions will be responsible for providing tax advice on national and international M&A activities, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. This role will also involve providing tax advice on post-acquisition integration processes and group-internal restructurings, including IP consolidation aspects and business model changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing tax advice on M&A activities, including due diligence and tax planning
- Coordinating with external tax advisors and managing legal entity consolidation efforts
- Preparing tax due diligence reports and analyzing external tax due diligence reports
- Assisting with M&A transactions in the tax field audit cycle
- Preparing tax opinions for cross-border transactions
- Supporting SAP's private equity and venture capital activities from an international tax perspective
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience in international tax consulting or a multinational company's tax function, with a focus on international M&A tax matters
- Certified German Tax Advisor or comparable qualification
- University degree in business studies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in international M&A tax matters
- Fluent in English and German
About the Team
The Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Team is part of the Global Tax Team at SAP's headquarters. The team evaluates M&A tax strategies, mitigates tax risks in M&A contracts, and develops post-acquisition legal integration processes and tax planning strategies.
