Project Engineer for Recycling and Sustainability

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer for Recycling and Sustainability to join our team at Knauf. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the cross-regional planning, design, and technical supervision of new recycling plants and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recycling plant designs and processes that meet our high standards for quality and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including our Global Supply Chain Team and Engineering Team, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations to our management team to inform important decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technical solutions for gypsum recycling and evaluate their potential impact on our operations.
Requirements
  • Engineer (m/f/d) in Mechanical Engineering/Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering with several years of experience in the field of recycling processes or gypsum processing.
  • Proven project management skills and extensive knowledge in statistics and plant engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge in CAD/Autodesk and mechanical process engineering (conveying technology, size reduction technology, separation technology).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient use of MS Office programs.
