Project Engineer for Stage Automation Control

Waagner-Biro Stage Systems is a leading provider of stage technology solutions. As a Project Engineer for Stage Automation Control, you will be responsible for designing, preparing, and configuring control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site commissioning of control systems
  • Collaboration in the preparation of commissioning schedules
  • Ongoing coordination with site managers, customers, and partner companies
  • Preparing documentation of commissioning and system features
  • Functional testing of software
  • Support during acceptance by the expert
  • Ensuring quality of technical solutions
  • Final acceptance and handover of the project
  • Processing of defects during project handover
  • Support of the service department in maintenance
  • Active support of quality management
  • Ensuring implementation of occupational safety measures
  • Support in the continuous optimization of processes

Requirements:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, automation, or technical informatics
  • Enthusiasm for design and commissioning of drive systems
  • Comprehensive interest in mechanical solutions and their integration into control systems
  • Knowledge of servo drives, inverters, digital interfaces, and common programming languages
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards and hazard and risk assessment processes
  • Proficiency in office and project management software
  • Strong intercultural competences
  • Strong communication skills and team player
  • High degree of self-motivation and hands-on mentality
  • Fluency in English and French or English and German
