Research Focus:Our research group is dedicated to understanding the properties and potential applications of two-dimensional materials. We are particularly interested in the behavior of electrons in these materials and how they can be manipulated using various techniques.
Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a project studying new excitations in 2D materials and their heterostructures. The ultimate goal is to probe 'dark' excitations, moire states, and realize ultrafast manipulation of spin currents and magnetism in these materials.
Responsibilities:- Assemble heterostructures of novel quantum 2D materials
- Simulate and characterize the properties of these materials
- Develop and implement new experimental techniques to probe the behavior of electrons in 2D materials
- Master's degree in natural sciences
- Experience with fabrication and properties of two-dimensional materials, nanofabrication techniques, and optical spectroscopies
- Strongly preferred: experience in ultrafast optical spectroscopies, strain-related techniques, Raman and other optical spectroscopies, transition metal dichalcogenides, non-linear optical techniques, and cryogenic techniques
