About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer with a strong background in security and cloud solutions to join our DACH regional sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Managers to develop account strategies and achieve revenue goals through effective technical pre-sales processes.
  • Design and present tailored solutions for customers using the company's portfolio, including DDoS mitigation, application delivery controllers, and firewalls.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, including presentations, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
  • Develop detailed responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, ensuring solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance during customer meetings, site visits, and online calls, addressing questions and resolving objections.
  • Create and oversee customer proposals with a consultative approach, showcasing the value of the company's solutions.
  • Act as a trusted adviser, staying current on industry trends and advancements to position the company as a thought leader.
Requirements:
  • 4–5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, network/application security, or equivalent roles within a vendor or reseller environment.
  • Strong understanding of networking and security technologies such as routing, switching, TCP/IP, load balancing, reverse proxies, CDN, and firewalls.
  • Expertise in application and network security, including DDoS protection, application security, and bot management.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Technical knowledge of solutions from vendors such as Akamai, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Imperva, Corero, and Citrix NetScaler.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and the DACH region.
