Project Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Uniper. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the construction site team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinate and manage the activities of suppliers and contractors, ensuring that they are compliant with Uniper's regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement construction site regulations, ensuring that they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor and control costs, ensuring that they are within budget.
• Manage and coordinate site visits, ensuring that they are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• Investigate and report on any incidents or near-misses, ensuring that lessons are learned and implemented.
• Develop and implement crisis management plans, ensuring that the site is prepared for any potential incidents.
• Collaborate with the project management team, ensuring that all project objectives are met.

Requirements

• University degree in an engineering program (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar).
• Several years of experience in site management/superstructure management.
• Experience in power plant construction or the oil and gas industry is an advantage.
• Organisational talent, familiarity with PM systems, DMS knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong communication and assertiveness skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to perform and performance-orientated action, ability to work under pressure in the context of the project business.
• Willingness for long-term assignments on construction sites at home and abroad.
• Social skills, confident behaviour towards project members and suppliers as well as towards management.
• High degree of integrity and reliability.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English required.
