Workday Extend Expert

As a Workday Extend Expert at Covestro, you will play a crucial role in driving digitalization across the Group. Our IT function is responsible for managing the economic processes of the company, including legal issues and IT solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology, business informatics, or a comparable field of study. Several years of experience in Workday Extensions and software programming with JSON, XML, and JavaScript are also essential.

• Define and implement the Workday Extend roadmap within the IT&D HR landscape in line with the HR strategy.
• Stay up-to-date with market developments to gain an overview of the development of Workday Extend.
• Have a good understanding of the advanced presentation components of Workday Extend, Advanced Data, and Orchestration Services.
• Take global responsibility for the operational stability of Workday Extend applications and design solutions.
• Manage the coordination within IT&D and HR to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements for Extend applications.
• Define project scopes and plan the execution of them.
• Actively work on incidents/improvements to support existing Extend applications and take project lead on a global level for the implementation of Extend applications.
• Be responsible for testing procedures, verification, and release of Workday Extend applications, as well as ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Successful completion of a degree with a focus on information technology, business informatics, or a comparable field of study.
• Several years of experience in Workday Extensions as well as in the field of software programming with JSON, XML, and JavaScript.
• Experience as a Workday Extend Consultant, preferably in the implementation of new Extend solutions.
• Strong consulting and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively and actively participate in multiple projects of varying sizes.
• A strong solution orientation and the ability to work in a global team.
• Business fluent English and German, as well as experience with project management methods (SDLC, Agile).
