Project Overview

We are currently seeking a National Deputy Resident Engineer for an ongoing water and sanitation project in Moldova. The project, funded by the German Development Bank KfW, aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation services in the region.

Project Components

The project involves the following components:

  • Construction of a treated water transmission main from the existing water treatment plant to the rayon capitals
  • Construction of bulk distribution infrastructure for selected communities
  • Implementation of immediate improvement measures in the distribution networks
  • Further measures to increase connection rates and rehabilitate dilapidated pipelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 10 years of professional experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in designing and construction supervision of water supply / wastewater systems
  • Experience in administration of FIDIC based contracts
  • Knowledge of procurement rules
  • Proven experience and knowledge of the approval requirements in Moldova and in submitting designs to national authorities
  • Excellent command of English
