Job Summary
OHB System AG, a leading space company in Europe, is seeking a highly skilled Team Leader for Mechanical Ground Support Equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical ground support equipment for spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Disciplinary responsibility for the Mechanical Ground Support Equipment team members, including employee appointments, annual reviews, and performance assessments.
- Seeking solutions for strategic, planning, and organizational issues with the immediate superior and implementing these within the individual teams.
- Implementation of a permanent improvement process to ensure the highest quality of work.
- Covering peak workloads in projects and ensuring timely delivery.
MGSE Activities
- Identification of all necessary MGSE for spacecraft.
- Preparation of concepts and generation of specifications for MGSE, including presentation to project management and customers.
- Contributions to milestone reviews concerning MGSE activities.
- Selection of possible suppliers in cooperation with the supply chain management.
- Participation in reviews at suppliers and in acceptance tests.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering with a major in mechanical engineering, space engineering, or other related engineering field.
- Well-developed communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
- Inventive concerning support and innovation topics.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, German is a plus.
