Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our cross-functional team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of professional web applications in our online store and operation service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a reliable and stable data platform and event-driven microservice architecture.
  • Work with the engineering team to implement and coordinate different microservices, starting from Epics in Jira.
  • Make strategic decisions with the Upcoming Services/Features team, balancing quick and dirty PoCs, temporary workarounds, and sustainable development.
  • Work agilely and asynchronously in sprints, live the feedback culture directly via reviews in merge requests and sprint reviews.
  • Extend our customer data platform (RudderStack, ClickHouse, Superset) with the help of Argo, DBT, and common data/ML tools (SciPy, NumPy/Jax, pyppeteer).
Requirements
  • A degree in computer science.
  • Several years of practical experience as a backend developer in cooperation with frontend developers, POs, and PMs.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Very good skills in Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, Celery), GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB (nice to have: ClickHouse).
  • Experience with Pytest, Mypy, Ruff, and CI/CD jobs.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and its deployment process, and ability to build and run applications in docker containers.
  • Love for clean code and sustainable advancement of the backend landscape.
  • Experience with open source and sharing knowledge and successes.
