Logistics Coordinator

Summary of Position:
As a key member of our team at thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services NA, Inc., this role will coordinate and direct the movement of trucks and freight to ensure efficient and timely pickups and deliveries.
Key Accountabilities:
Load monitoring and updating systems, equipment management, and preventative maintenance are essential responsibilities. Effective communication with trucks, receiving, and dispatch is crucial in responding to emergency needs. You will also maintain professional and courteous communication with drivers, customers, and suppliers, cultivating strong relationships to reduce stress caused by last-minute schedule changes. Additionally, you will maintain accurate written and computerized records and perform other duties assigned by your reporting Manager/Supervisor.
Your profile
Minimum Requirements:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, as well as prior experience or exposure to logistics or trucking operations. A customer service background and ability to multi-task are also essential. Proficiency in computer and Microsoft suite applications is required.
Preferred Requirements:
Dispatch experience is a plus.
