About the Role:

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in creating and monitoring various reports to help P&L managers better understand their business unit. This position will work closely with the CEO and CFO to create reports and analyze them, driving efficiency through process improvements and providing data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create operational reports by department and location, and distribute them to managers
  • Work with P&L department managers to help them understand how operational choices impact financial statements
  • Drive efficiency through process improvements, including updating, revising, and creating financial models, templates, and planning processes
  • Perform other analysis projects as needed
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Adapt to changing priorities based on issues at hand
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present financial reports
  • Apply business experience to assist CEO and top managers in formulating effective strategies
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and strategy practices
  • Evaluate estimating tools against WIP reports to determine price and quantity variances
  • Develop and improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts
  • Present monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments
  • Implement dashboard reports
  • Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives

Requirements:

  • Accounting degree + five years of accounting experience
  • Superior spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Occasional travel may be required
