Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at EMBL. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer science and experience in algorithm development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement algorithms for identifying macromolecular complexes in cellular tomograms using image processing techniques.
- Investigate and implement methods to enhance the speed and accuracy of particle identification.
- Explore the integration of spatial constraints from other data sources to improve particle identification.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and disseminate software packages.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Image Processing, or a related field.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and experience in algorithm development.
- Proficiency in numerical libraries such as NumPy and SciPy.
- Strong motivation to work in a highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cryo-ET data analysis or machine learning.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
