About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Development Unit in Frankfurt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software systems using Java and its core libraries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality
  • Contribute to the development of business functionality and DevOps of the 360T trading platform
  • Document design and code of all produced artifacts
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on software development best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Java programming skills and its core libraries
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design patterns
  • Deep knowledge of JVM internals, garbage collection tuning, JVM profiling
  • Deep knowledge of multi-threaded and concurrent programming
  • Understanding of Java networking, having at least basic exposure to sockets programming, TCP internals
  • Experience with at least a second language like C/C++
  • Experience with database systems
  • Understanding and adhering to the principles of clean code development
  • Understanding and adhering to defensive programming
  • High level of spoken English
  • Strategic planning abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm in understanding the business drivers behind the technical requirements
