Lead Consultant in Public Sector Finance (m/f/d)

Work alongside your team in the Public Sector to support our clients at the federal, state, and municipal levels, as well as public enterprises, hospitals, and social insurance institutions. Engage with comprehensive issues from strategic alignment and reorganization to financial management, cost accounting, and the implementation of digital tools, shaping the future of the Public Sector.

Your Responsibilities
Are you eager to leverage your expertise in finance and controlling to advise and assist our clients? Here’s how you can contribute:

  • Manage client relationships across all segments of the public sector, participating in both small and large transformation projects in financial and accounting services.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of new accounting principles, IT systems, and reporting frameworks.
  • Analyze and enhance the accounting and closing processes of our clients, including the documentation and visualization of organizational and process analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory individual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with current accounting standards.
  • Drive the development of target and control concepts using key performance indicators, and advance the implementation of Business Intelligence and Data & Analytics solutions.
  • Support the introduction of cost and performance accounting systems and optimization of performance.
  • Contribute to studies and the publication of professional articles, as well as participate in presentations at industry events.
Your Profile
  • You are a Lead Consultant in Public Sector Finance (m/f/d) with a successfully completed university degree in economics, computer science, or public sector studies, achieving excellent grades; additional academic qualifications are a plus.
  • You possess at least two years of relevant professional experience in a consulting firm or organization, along with initial leadership experience.
  • Your background in optimizing process and organizational structures within administrative business areas such as accounting and controlling is advantageous.
  • You have experience in reorganizing administrative functions (Shared Service Centers, outsourcing, digitalization, and standardization of processes, defining the strategic development of administrative areas).
  • You bring initial leadership and coaching experience to this role.
  • Your confident and professional demeanor, along with persuasive communication skills—especially with senior executives—sets you apart.
  • Your fluent German and English language skills, coupled with your willingness to travel, complete your qualifications.
