BMG RIGHTS MANAGEMENT GmbH - Corporate is seeking a skilled Metadata Manager Audiovisual Repertoire to join its Global Copyright Services team in Berlin. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's success in music publishing by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of audiovisual song data for global registration with collecting societies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare audiovisual song data for global registration, ensuring compliance with music publishing standards
  • Coordinate the conversion and digitization of cue sheets with third-party vendors
  • Generate rolled-up cues to maintain comprehensive music data management
  • Match and process song files to ensure the integrity and accuracy of music metadata
  • Prepare audio-visual production load files for seamless ingestion into music publishing systems
  • Operate and contribute to the development of internal databases and workflow processes
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards to automate audiovisual processing procedures

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in metadata management within the music industry, preferably at a music publisher or collecting society
  • A profound understanding of music publishing operations and copyright administration
  • Deep expertise in specific copyright rules for audiovisual repertoire and experience with cue sheet processing in a music publishing context
  • Proficiency in Python and data process automation skills are a plus
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German or other languages is an advantage
  • Display sharp analytical skills for accurate data processing
  • Balance meticulous attention to detail with efficiency
  • Excel in self-management and effective time management
  • Strong communication skills for clear and effective interactions
