About this Job Opportunity

This is a challenging and rewarding position for a skilled ABAP developer to join our team at Universitätsmedizin Essen. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and developing programs and reports using ABAP/ABAP-Objects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications and reports using ABAP/ABAP-Objects
  • Analyze and resolve software errors
  • Develop and maintain interfaces and further develop existing ones
  • Test and document developed software applications
  • Take on responsibility and work independently on tasks
  • Evaluate and validate new technologies and innovations in the company context

Your Profile

  • Completed training as a computer scientist (application development/system integration) or completed studies in computer science; alternatively, a comparable qualification with several years of experience and a strong IT affinity
  • Practical IT experience, primarily in the implementation of IT projects or the implementation of new software programs
  • Experience in software development in the SAP ABAP area
  • Additional SAP module knowledge is desirable
  • Ability to quickly grasp workflows, analyze them, and develop and implement solutions and alternatives
  • Independent and structured working style, as well as enjoyment of working in project teams
  • Willingness to participate in further and continuing education, with the goal of long-term professional development
