Computational Biologist

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology.

The Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology is a leading research institution in the field of natural product research and infection biology. Our institute is part of the Leibniz Association, a German research organization that focuses on interdisciplinary research.

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be working in the research group of Applied Systems Biology, led by Prof. Dr. Marc Thilo Figge. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and apply advanced computational models to study complex biological systems. You will work closely with our team of researchers to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and publish research findings.

• Develop and apply advanced computational models to study complex biological systems
• Analyze large datasets using machine learning and statistical techniques
• Design and conduct experiments to test model predictions
• Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A doctoral degree in physics, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++ and/or Python
• Experience with machine learning and statistical analysis software
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
