Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Data Engineer to join our team at Montash. As a Freelance Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems using Python and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering with Python and SQL: You will be responsible for migrating legacy data and applications to our new Azure data platform.
  • Data Modelling: You will design and implement data models using dimensional modelling techniques.
  • Complex Business Logic: You will write complex business logic and concepts related to data engineering.
  • API Management: You will manage APIs and build data quality processes.

Team Collaboration:

You will work alongside other Software Engineers, Data Engineers, User Experience Designers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to deliver business value against a prioritized list of initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Mid-level Engineer: This role is targeted at mid-level engineers, although all seniority levels can be considered.
  • Strong Technical Skills: You will need strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and Azure.
