Digital Transformation Expert for Legacy System Modernization

We are seeking a skilled Digital Transformation Expert to lead the modernization of our legacy Windows Forms application in Munich or remotely.
The role is part of a program focused on improving performance, scalability, and maintainability within our Underwriting Platform, which supports pricing and policy administration for our client's Non-Life reinsurance business.
This position involves technical leadership, guiding an offshore development team from a third-party provider, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to the development team, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and clean code principles.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to modernize our legacy Windows Forms application using C# and .NET technologies.
- Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs to integrate with our legacy application, ensuring seamless data exchange and adherence to industry standards.
- Foster a culture of clean code, emphasizing simplicity, readability, and testability, and ensure that all developed solutions meet these standards.
Requirements:
- Technical expertise in C# and .NET, with a strong focus on clean code principles, design patterns, and API design.
- Legacy system knowledge, including experience with Windows Forms applications.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience with API development using C# and .NET.
- Proven experience in technical leadership, with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
